Many of our clients do not have financial executives (controller or VP of finance) on their staffs. Some may also not have the manpower to complete a year end closing or even certain ongoing accounting tasks. Outsourcing of accounting requirements, either on a one-time or on an ongoing basis, may make sense for them. Depending on their needs and the personnel available, it is often less costly for them to engage us to perform certain tasks than to hire permanent employees to do them in-house. For some clients we assume basically all recurring monthly accounting duties. Where we take on those full responsibilities, we can sometimes save them as much as 40% of the payroll costs for in-house accounting. It can also eliminate for our client the worries associated with hiring and supervision, downtime for illness or vacations, training, and software and hardware upgrades. Value is added as CPAs supervise all services provided and can contribute specialized expertise as needed. The deliverables associated with this service will vary from client to client, but are extensive. Sample services and product are listed in the accompanying table. |
