We have been fortunate over the years to experience low turnover within our firm. This means that our clients will deal with the same professionals from year to year and those people will come to know their businesses quite well. Additionally, our staff is typically a little older and more experienced on average than those in other firms. Our CPA staff is profiled below. LARRY WAGNER (8231) is one of the Firm’s founders and serves as the managing partner. He is a 1972 graduate of UNC at Chapel Hill and has over thirty-five years of public accounting experience. He performs commercial and not for profit audits and consults with clients on tax strategy and general business issues and opportunities. Email: Ldwagner@wagnernoble.com

Larry believes that clients like stability, predictability, and reliability in their CPA, and they don’t like surprises in the news they bring. Even though the Firm’s compliance work generally reports historical information, Larry, his partners, and the staff are committed to being forward focused and client centered.

Larry likes to tell people that he has had only two jobs since college. He and his wife Karen have two grown children, a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law, and three beautiful granddaughters, all of whom live much too far away.

 

SUSAN BENTON WILSON (14540), a partner in the firm, is a 1978 graduate of UNC Chapel Hill. She also has a masters degree in taxation from DePaul University. Susan worked for eight years in the tax department of one of the Big 4 firms and six years in private industry. She developed her own practice over a six year period and then merged with Wagner Noble & Co. in 1998. Email: Scbenton@wagnernoble.com

Susan spends her work time immersed in code, regs, and technical minutiae. She spends her personal time up to her elbows in potting soil and owns a massive collection of panda bears. Susan has family in the NC mountains, and she keeps us all entertained with stories from Avery County. Susan is married to Gene, and through him now has three married step children and eight grandchildren.

 

JEFF CLINE (18212) is a 1986 graduate of Appalachian State University and a Charlotte native. Jeff is an audit partner who came to the firm in 2005. He works extensively with clients in the manufacturing, distribution, and construction industries, providing both audit and management consulting services. Email: Jccline@wagnernoble.com

Jeff is a people person who loves to make new friends and learn about their businesses. He is a networker who works on the principle of pay it forward.

 

TOM STOWE (19690) joined Wagner Noble in June 2011 as partner in charge of our dental specific division. Tom’s history includes doing a stint as a Charlotte police officer, working in the insurance industry, and building a sizable dental accounting practice in Atlanta before coming back home to Charlotte three years ago.

Tom has been a keynote speaker at The Thomas P. Hinman Dental Meeting, The Holiday Dental Conference, various dental schools, and numerous dental study groups. He is a member of The Practice Valuation Study Group, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the NC Association of Certified Public Accountants, and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. ROSANNE LITAKER (14742) is a senior manager who has five years of industry experience and twenty-eight years with Wagner Noble & Company. Rosanne is a graduate of the University of Central Florida who works in both the audit and tax sides of our practice. Email: Rclitaker@wagnernoble.com.  Rosanne performs audits for clients in manufacturing, distribution, and service industries and handles tax preparation for corporations and pass through entities, including extensive multi-state reporting.

Rosanne is one of our originals, and as long as we have known her, people have been mispronouncing her name. She takes it in stride and seems to spread good humor wherever she goes.

 

RICHARD BLUM (27286) is a senior tax manager and a graduate of New York University. Richard also has degrees from Hofstra University School of Law (JD) and New York University School of Law (LLM). Richard had significant experience with both national and local CPA firms prior to joining Wagner Noble & Company in early 2010. Email: Rablum@wagnernoble.com

As is obvious from his credentials, Richard isn’t from around here. He is married to a southern girl, though, and his children have grown up in the South. Richard has been a super addition to Wagner Noble, and he brings great perspective and experience to both the firm and to projects for our clients.

 

JEFF MURRAY (24627) is a senior audit manager who has been with our firm for his entire professional career. He joined us in 1994, soon after graduation from Virginia Tech. Jeff works across the spectrum of the Firm’s audit clients, spending significant time in real estate and construction and not-for-profits. Email: Jlmurray@wagnernoble.com

Jeff is our resident jock, and most of us live vicariously through his exploits. He competes regularly in triathlons and swim meets. He often wins in his age group and frequently bests competitors fifteen years younger.

 

LAURA BOSSERT (26572), is a graduate of Virginia Tech. She is an audit manager who has been with our firm since 1997. Laura is a huge Tech football fan, and her two young children are being raised in the Hokie way. She graduated from college with a Spanish major (as well as accounting). Laura had several years’ experience working with property management companies prior to joining Wagner Noble.

Dana is a first rate technician on the A&A side, and she keeps us straight on the really arcane issues. She is married to Jeff Murray (see above), and we all know she must be an understanding spouse. Dana and Jeff have three young children, and their exploits, including trips to the ER, wear us all out.

 

CARRIE DYCKMAN (31164) Carrie joined us in 2011 as a senior audit and accounting manager after spending ten years with a national firm.  A Wisconsin native, she lived in Georgia before coming to Charlotte. Carrie is a 1998 graduate of Georgia Southwestern State University. In 2000, she received a master of accountancy degree from Georgia Southwestern State University. She works with clients in the manufacturing, distribution, construction, not-for-profit and service industries. LESLEY PARKER (34051) joined our staff in 2005. A Virginia native, she lived in California before coming to Charlotte. She has controllership experience in real estate and worked for CPA firms in Virginia and Nevada in her earlier years. Lesley is very much a people person and clients find her to be a great listener. AMANDA STOWE (19661) came on board in 2011 with the Stowe & Stowe merger. Amanda is a manager in our dental specific division. She is a 1989 graduate of UNCC and a native of Elkin, North Carolina. Amanda is a critical interface with many of our dental practice clients and a vital resource to the practice accountants and office managers that rely on her.

Rebecca Cole, Pattie Bennett, and Martha Coughtry (not CPAs) round out our staff. They provide accounting and tax support and each have significant experience in their practice areas. Rebecca came to Wagner Noble in 2010 after obtaining significant experience in the tax division of a national firm.  Pattie worked in mortgage banking and real estate before moving into public accounting. Martha has fifteen years at Wagner Noble and has extensive experience in the accounting side of the warehousing and distribution business. All are highly valued by Wagner Noble and by the clients that they work for.
